By J. Policarpio I've never seen nor smelled Mexican vanilla beans before but these ones, compared to the Tahitian, look drier and are a lot thinner. Not as strong a vanilla fragrance compared to the Tahitian and Bourbon variety. This one is rather spicy...I think this would be excellent for flans.
